Michelle Tonta is a contemporary printed textile designer particularly engaged in a digital design practice. Tonta’s work largely derives from original drawings and hand-rendered imagery which she digitally manipulates to create stunning, eye-catching designs alive with vibrant colour and beautiful patterns. Colour plays an important role within Tonta’s work and she combines an array of kaleidoscopic shades to produce exciting, dynamic designs for both fashion and interiors.

 

Michelle Tonta recently graduated from Winchester School of Art with a BA (Hons) degree in Fashion & Textile Design, and is currently studying for her Textile Master's at Chelsea College of Arts, UAL. She has had her work exhibited in Jeremy France Jewellers, a local, boutique jewellery store in Winchester, and Tonta has also been featured on the website of a custom textile printing company, Lacuna Press.

She is currently exhibiting at the Espacio Gallery in East London as part of the 'Germination' exhibition.
